We want to defend our title again in March or face a contender ranked higher than us in the WBC. We would accomodate Lynes as well but they don't return our calls.
Hardly surprising they dont return calls, meybe a little respect would help, lynes has gone about his boxing without the need to put down his opponents verbally, he respects all fighters, its a tough game, his promotors make the fights along with skys imput, he like you wants the big fights not easy as everyone sees hatton as the big payday he still has a mandatory against branco to resolve if and when branco agrees terms
Sorry but Lynes does not deserve respect.Respect comes from fighting not avoiding fights.I will not talk about Lynes anymore as he is waste of time.
Well Lynes gets my respect. He is a very good boxer and I've got nothing but admiration for the way he has successfully rebuilt his career. I was impressed by his masterful display against Morrison for the British Title and then the fact he was prepared to put that Title on the line only six weeks later against Mutley. At the time I thought that was a risky decision as he took that fight at something like only 10 days notice when Bami withdrew but credit to him for taking the gamble which paid off when he brushed aside Mutley (who many tipped to win) to also claim the Euro Crown. Was pleased to see him make the first successful defence of that title recently - dominating his opponent. With his current rich vein of form the future is looking rosy for Lynes. :good
Good luck him to him. When he is ready to face a real top quality fighter like again we will be happy to arrange his retirement party.
Thought you were done talking about Lynes? Besides, Olusegun seems to have set his sights even higher by declaring he is ready for the likes of Hatton, Witter and calling them out.
Listen guys, there are too many people rounding on Ajose, just cause he wasnt 100% on the night he has "suddenly found his level" My arse! Lets be honest here, are you all trying to tell me that Hatton and Witter (especially) are great all the time, :nut :nut Yeah I thought so. They can have off nights as well, everyone can. Its not as if Hatton doesnt take on the odd shot fighter is it? Ajose can go further, I'm sure, dont forget he burst Pryce at a lot heavier weight, and burst Nuumbembe who is a good fighter. At he end of the day styles makes fights.
So he's a turd now is he? get a grip mate. I.M.O he does deserve a shot at Lynes, cause he's commonwealth champion, beaten Pryce, beaten Nuumbembe, and is willing to take on anyone. Thats what I like about his attitude, he IS willing to take risky fights, not hand picked past there sell by date fighters.
I just think Olusegun's progress is disappointing particularly considering the claims made about him - and I don't base that solely on his performance against Wright. Much is made of a couple of decent wins some time ago but he has been at the same level for too long now - he needs a BIG performance and to step it up if I am to be convinced.
Sorry mate but you are deluded. Ajose does not need to fight Lynes after all Lynes has not got anything we want. We are not European or British so we don't need those titles. Of course when Ajose British citizenship comes through I predict Lynes will give up those belts. Ajose is ranked higher than Lynes in the world ratings so it is in Lynes interests to take the fight but he will not because how politely can I put this he is "She" and "Woman". Grow some balls Colin.
Have to agree there. Can think of a couple of those sparring stories off the top of my head. There was one claiming Olusegun was asked to be a sparring partner for Ricky Hatton. Another was when it was suggested that Jamie Moore was knocked out by someone during sparring.
Judging by your constant digs at Lynes you do seem a little pre occupied by a fighter you suggest hasn't got anything Olusegun needs or wants.
That last point was that someone who had knocked out moore had struggled with Ajose in sparring. :good
