cruiserweight division quite possibly best it's been a long time i.e. Lebedev ,gassiev. Usuik , briedis glowacki and huck amongst others. Even guys that could step up aswell like beterbiev etc Yet bellew self proclaimed best cruiserweight world fighting a 36 year old heavyweight who hadn't had a meaningful fight 5-6 years and is Ppv. Sums up what's wrong with boxing at times, can be so frustrating at times can obviously see why Hearn is doing it but surely got have a great undercard some cards been shocking lately surely he should be tryin lilook at putting on better card slight less profit but benifit him in long run rather than ppl gettin sick watchin poor cards A ain't biggest fan UFC at all but they do make best in division take on best regularly and stack there cards(more knowledgeable person than me UFC tells me )
Ufc is all over boxing making it look soft And I am a strictly boxing fan but the truth is the truth Pi55 poor fights and fighters to protected
Don't particularly watch UFC Mayb odd occasion if a late American boxing fight on but not about go watch UFC it's a forum Just sayin ther is things could learn from it and vice versa
Cruiserweight is stacked, for whatever reason it just has 0 prestige compared to other higher weight divisions. I guess there's a perception that cruiserweights are essentially the guys too small to hack it at heavyweight, which in a sense is true but unfair as we don't talk about welterweights as though they just aren't tough enough for middleweights etc
People get too caught up in weights. People want to see interesting fights with a good back story. Not just the best v best Because sometimes the best like ward or FMJ are just boring both I'm and out of the ring
Crusierweight division is greatly talented right now but none of them are known outside of their own living room. That's the problem. Bellew would make the square root of jack **** fighting them and lose his belt in the process.
Agree with the OP. But unfortunately, what sells is make pretend rivalry or 'star' names. Look across the pond at the PPV figures for Canelo-Smith in comparison to Kovalev-Ward...tells you all you need to know.
The thing with the UFC is they're all talentless bums dressed up to be superstars. Who cares if the best bum always fights the best bum, bums fight bums in boxing all the time. Like we had Ward vs Kovalev the other day and even Lebedev vs Gassiev, MMA has never ever had athletes of that calibre fight each other and probably never will.
UFC isn't a sport MMA is, the best UFC fight the best UFC but not the best of other organisations. It's like WBC owning a certain amount of boxers and making them fight each other but if GGG is with WBO your still not gonna have him v WBC's best middleweight. My knowledge is limited on UFC but a lot of my friends who compete at a high level seem to be beginning to become as disillusioned at some of the bouts as boxing fans are.
This content is protected The best thing with the ufc is they don't duck each other like in boxing, the guys in charge basically say to you fight him or find another company to work for.
Uh, no. All the best MMA fighters are under UFC contract. Go look at any MMA world rankings and you'll find that the 10 best fighters in each weight division are in the UFC with the odd exception. Here's a link to one : http://www.fightmatrix.com/mma-ranks/
