Was up till gone 6am this morning watching the pacman/Bradley fight I am starting to really get fed up with all of these very poor decisions made by the judges scoring the fights. It is actually ruining our much loved sport and I have to admit its putting me off watching fights and paying to go see them live. What are all your thoughts on this? I appriciate that Marquez was robbed last fight with Pacman but this seemed to me to be a revenge type of corruption to get pacman back for that fight. I understand that pacman slowed down at the end and to be fair did not throw many punches but he still banked enough rounds to win the fight I gave it 7 rounds to 4 in pacmans favour I am just fed up of seeing all of these boxers getting robbed and affecting their records which potentially fux them up for the future It is possible now that this defeat we cause implications for a pacman mayweather fight and that's of it is still considered after this mornings antics What can they do to improve the decision making? Fuming I could not sleep properly coz I was so angry lol Maybe I'm going over the top but it's about time this crap stopped G
Promoters not using the same judges all the time would be a good place to start .. Promoters should have no say whatsoever in who judges fights .. they should be brought in by some independent body .. They should then be held accountable for their decisions .. not rewarded by promoters by giving them a slot in the next big fight.
has there ever been a fight where a verdict has been overturned? I thought that was a great performance by pacman Im still shocked here and thats put me right off going to vegas to watch a fight. FIXED
It was a poor decision,Ive watched the fight twice and dont get how they gave it Bradley it was closer than you might think when you watch it again but Pac by 2/3 rounds is how it should have gone. The bad scoring coupled with several tv stations getting involved and demanding a subscription on ppv fee is hurting the sport badly and sadly it is only going to get worse.I would love to say I had any kind of answer as to how it can move forward in a good way.Almost all proper fans are sick of it and have been for some time.Ive made my views on primetime clear several times.
Everything has already been said about the judges that needs to be said. there needs to be an investigation into these officials picked by Top Rank. this is the 3rd time in a year. Due respect to Bradley and Credit to his conditioning coach. How on earth Bradley managed to stay on his feet and not take a knock down beggars belief. You have to give Bradley that much, and somehow stayed in till the end for the crooked judges to have there say. This must of been a calculated stitch up by Top Rank to make sure the Mayweather fight does not happen until after Pac v Bradley II to keep milking Paquiao. If not they are looking to build Bradley into there next star attraction and P4P champ. If i where Paquiao, I'd drop top rank as my promoter.
Mayweather will use this as an excuse not to fight Manny now. "Oh he lost, i want a bigger cut etc". No chance of this fight ever happening now. Not that it ever was going to happen..
I think everyone who is screaming robbery should go back and watch the fight on mute. On first viewing I thought it was super close (but I didn't expect Bradley to get the nod) Having watched it again I still think its a draw. Manny just doesn't do enough & completely switches off in the second half of the fight. He also loses all the rounds down the stretch. Problem here is that Manny should of won, he could have won, but he went into cruise mode & cost himself the fight.
