    Big Frank was telling Team Yarde that Kov had declined and was ripe for the picking before Kovalev vs Alvarez I and he instructed them to take the fight back then. I remember watching one of his interviews last year and I could tell he genuinely believed it.

    I will only believe this when I see it.. Yarde seems to have the David Haye syndrome in when it come ls to pulling out of fights

    Good news! I did not expect Yarde to be willing to fight Kovalev.

    If he goes through with it, props to him.

    That's unexpected!
    Pursebids would have prevented it from happening imo, because they either had to pay Kovalev a massive amount to have it in the UK (for good reasons too), or Yarde had to take the fight for decent money in Russia.
    Neither was likely of course due to most people expecting Yarde to get picked apart in this one, putting a huge dent in his marketability. Now he's probably getting paid handsomelyfor his effort.

    Still a huge step up in class for Yarde, and against someone with a huge punch to boot.
