I know Benavidez is fighting Gvozdyk but if Yarde was his first choice, how do you see this fight?

Yarde, the guy who lost to Lyndon Arthur and who got Ko'd by a jab? I guess most people will say he beats Benavidez:0

Kovalev's jab is like a right hand from most LHs.

Yards would be Benavidez' best opponent to date. Lol

Ok, who in Benavidez resume is better than Yarde when he fought them?

When the best opponent in his division keeps ducking, Benavidez has no choice.

You realize David has fought 4 former or current world champions? Yarde has never been a champion and lost to a bum. After David beats Gvozdyk , Yarde wouldn't even be top 5 in his resume.

Oh he has choices... why didn't he fight Saunders, Smith, or Plant when they had titles, why didn't he fight Mbilly, or Berlanga?

His best win is a former 154 lb fighter.

Yarde is a better boxer and proved he can withstand hits from Beterbiev before going down (meaning Benavidez not doing nothing to hurt Yarde). He also managed to hurt Beterbiev. Those feats alone put him above Benavidez.

Benavidez had trouble bringing down Andrade despite being 1-2 weight classes above. Also failed to bring down Plant. Is also stated by Plant to be physically weaker than Canelo who couldn’t overpower Bivol, whom is weaker than Yarde.

    Benavidez gets crushed.

Yarde looks the part, talks the part but hasn’t got one single signature win, can’t see him being a problem at all for Benavidez .

Benavidez had trouble putting down Andrade... for like three rounds? LOL.

I hear Plant talking about wanting Jermell and another crack at Canelo... but he doesn't ever say that he wants Benavidez again. David turned him into a bloody mess and had him holding on like a child.

Canelo was watching and said, "claro que no!!".

Yarde has stamina problems and needa rounds off, Benavidez gets hit, and Yarde can hit.

    Its a good match up.

Andrade is far and away his best opponent.

And I don't even like Plant but he's is leagues beyond Yarde. Yarde ain't good.

    original question:
Benavidez would break Yarde down and stop him late. Only wrinkle would be Yarde's size.
