anybody seen the amount of ppl in York hall for the open workout tonight. embarrassing really from uncle frank and co, eddie earns idea, levels between them as much as it pains me. leeds was half empty last week too.
Any photos? The ones on BT Twitter are taken at awkward angles probably to avoid showing the lack of numbers. Surprising if there were low numbers because Floyd Mayweather is in the house. Frank should have advertised the hell out of this.
Oooops PR nightmare for Warren & BT it was empty and embarrassing for Mayweather and his team. Come on Warren you should have done better than that....
Warren alot more fearless in matchmaking now imo, pigford and morgan this wknd a good example, whilst snoozeworthy gavin struggles vs gariddo. But in terms of promotion, tickets and brand - warren and BT still have no appeal.
Nicola Adams is their one star. The platform is strong. The product is decent. Its just star power they lack. Is it likely they'll 'create' a star? Possibly but it will take a long time.
Long as people turn up to the show I don't suppose it matters much. Pigford-Morgan is a great matchup. The card as a whole isn't too bad at all
Who cares about a public workout..they don't mean much. Everything is a work In progress..the hype of Matchrooms BIG events (not the normal standard saturday night SS1 which are pretty bog standard) is a million miles ahead but that's no big deal. I'm sure the additional hype for BT/Warren will come especially if Yarde and Dubious etc become stars. At the moment, the BT cards are very good, production is very good, Frank's got a new lease of life again with the new financial backing etc...it's all looking good.
I like how Boxnation and BT have started, they have no stars and my concern for them will be, should they develop Dubois, Yarde etc, can Warren keep them away from Matchroom?
Yarde is a talent, worried about Dubois, got hit once in last fight in first round and got rocked by it, and that was vsa cruiser.
Tyson fury will be the bt star, can see him and BjS being their ppv options, I hate how fisheyes takes and speaks about fury likes hes his fighter and hes bought him thru the ranks, mick has.
I wouldn't say "production is very good" just yet. It's still all over the place. R-Mac's post fight interviews are a mess and Bunce and the new frontman constantly talk over and interrupt each other. They still have a lot of work to do.
