im not shure what his first name is but i seen him fight once. they kept mentioning his name durring the kirkland fight saying, kirkland wouldnt be able to weather his onslaught. from what iseen it lookes like kirkland would man handle that dude. any thoughts
Angulo vs Kirkland would be a fantastic matchup. Both of them are fairly busy, and like to throw a lot of leather from the opening bell. It would be a much more competitive version of the Vera fight, but I couldn't tell you who comes out on top. Both fighters are largely untested, and it may come down to whoever has the best stamina or who can take the best shot. Would be a high action fight though. I want to see it.
Angulo can KO him. Angulo's never stops, he has a an incredible workrate and I pick him to KO Kirkland who takes moments off. To beat Angulo you need to outbox him and I don't think Kirkland can do it.
i dont no angulo looked really slow something like a margarito but not as exiting i guess i got watch more of his fights any word on his next one?
Yes, the Margarito comparison is true. I believe he can wear Kirkland down by punishment accumulation and workrate. Honestly I haven't seen that much of him, but by what I have seen of both, I pick Angulo. Kirkland can be hurt and is a strong starter but seems to fade. If he can't KO Angulo (I don't think he will), Angulo will stop him late.
I appreciate the point that Lampley and Co. were making, but Angulo ain't Vera. Angulo has a very conventional look, Vera is akward. Kirkland would have, presumably, even more opportunities to score his megaton shots on a fighter like Angulo. Now, if Angulo can take the bombs, which alot of people assume he could, he would obviously have a very good chance of doing is signature 'outlast' stuff on Kirkland. But it's not a foregone conclusion.
I've seen both fighters fight three times. I think Angulo beats Kirkland. Even against Vera, who looked incredibly slow, Kirkland's defense was still questionable. It would be a very interesting fight though.
