I've been a big fan for a number of years. Dude has some pretty keen insight and has picked a few good upsets. That said, he at times gets a little dogmatic with his conceptions of style match-ups, fixating on styles to the exception of everything else which has resulted in a few howlers, like this gem where he says that Hopkins or Tarver could beat Wlad. Dwyer is a knucklehead. Sometimes I think Teddy Atlas is better at predicting an outcome. Especially on the tossups.:-(
Don't watch many of his videos, the few that I have watched, I enjoyed his breakdown and analysis. I give him credit for being a smart guy, even if he gets a little full of himself now and then.
I agree with this. I disagree with him very often, but he does bring up points that the average boxing fan doesn't often take the time to think about. The only problem is that he'll over accentuate a flaw or strength and then bases his picks almost solely on that factor. At the same time, he's trying to recommend the best bets, not necessarily the most likely outcomes, and I don't pay attention to that as much, so I'm not sure if his outlooks give a winning strategy.
He's pretty good at analysing the fighters but he sucks at predicting the outcome, also straddle everything.
Dwyer is full of ****. always was. "Straddle Martinez by KO or decision against Macklin by KO or decision", is something that Dwyer would say.
