How long will he have to wait for the fight though. The IBF mandatory is first, so he could be out the ring for a year waiting for his shot and that’s without the Fury vs Usyk fight getting signed. It could be longer if the unification happens.
Why is he giving it away? He will fancy Zhang to spark Joshua, he will definitely do it We have seen him offer loads of his heavyweights for AJ and Hearn always has an excuse as to why it's not good enough and then puts AJ in with a far weaker opponent
Zhang showing nowhere near enough signs of shotitis for team AJ to start pumping him up then calling him out. Joyce coming off back to back KO losses and at 38 might fit the matchroom model of shot to pieces old name fighter to add to the AJ smoke and mirrors resume. Even still I pick Joyce to outman AJ and make him QUIT. Papa ZHANGO is far too big, active and hard hitting for AJ, even at 41. This isn’t shot old retired VLADD coming off 18 months on the sofa who they flew into wembley in a helicopter full of money to get knocked out.
Where are Queensberry going to put on a Zhang fight if it’s not against a Brit? Imagine Warren in China. Chopsticks? Do me a favour.
Hmmm. This post seems to indicate that Usyk was the reason for it not happening which is rather bizarre seeing as only one man has publicly said he doesn't want to fight the other, twice. Fury is done imo and will never fight another tough challenge. I certainly don't believe he'll get in the ring with Usyk until they're actually stood in one looking at each other.
I'd like to think Hrgovic fight will be Jan/Feb which would make a summer bout feasible. I don't think Zhang would mind a break at his age and having earned himself a title shot. I suspect he'll be looking at Joe and thinking "**** taking the same sort of risk he did, I'll just sit on my mandatory".
Joshua beat both Joyce and Zhang in the amateurs. I’m sure he’d have no problem getting in the ring with both on the same night. If Joshua lost to Zhang, no one would give credit to Zhang and would say Joshua lost to a 40 year old man. (talking about before Zhang beat Joyce twice). Zhang is WBO mandatory and with Queensberry, so it’ll be difficult to make. I’d rather see Joshua against Hrgovic to be honest. Hrgovic already beat Zhang. But stylistically maybe Zhang is the harder fight as he is a southpaw with quick hands and punches hard.
I think Zhang beats this version of AJ. More KO power. I don't think AJ's chin will hold up to Zhang's punches.
joshua must avoid zhang he should face 2023s molina takam brezeile martin helenius parker pulev franklin type oh wait there all top 10 lol
