Who takes this one? Float like a butterfly sting like a bee until you get hit by the Big Bang!

Zhang. Heavyweights are so much bigger now, I don’t think Ali would stand a chance…

Dear lord Zhang beats his only top 10 ranked opponent in a 15-0 Joyce who has no defence and is slow asf. Now he beats Ali lol this forum has lost its marbles, the samething happened when Joyce beat Parker its ridiculous.

The fleet footed Ali runs rings around Zhang and wins a wide points decision.

PRIME Ali would be a tough fight. But Zhang with his counters and sharp power would be a live dog. No doubt. But not sure big Zhang could get out enough quantity to earn a decision. Odds favor Prime Ali.

Honestly I think Usyk would be a tougher fight for prime Ali. Endurance for days to keep the offense going out, crafty, great chin, enough power to sting anyone and get their respect and he’s fast. Usyk would have a great shot.

This forum is so embarrassing at times.

The first 2 pages are all Zhang threads.

    So predictable.

Can't have a legit heavyweight giant come out of the blue and not turn this place into a frenzy.

It's remarkable really. Where has this guy been hiding. He's not an unknown quantity either...

Old man mass and old man strength ain't no joke.

He’s an interesting addition to the HW mix.

    A frenzy though?

For a few wins over Joyce?

As if ATH means something its an made up term by white ”boxing historians”. Ali gets smoked by almost everybody today in the top pro hw game

Pathetic comment Ali beat 20 top 10 ranked opponents which is more than the current top 10 Heavyweights combined.

    Zhang has 1.....

A 15 rounder, and knowing what we know about Zhang's stamina. I see Ali moving and jabbing for 6 rounds, kick it into 2nd gear from the 7th on, and start popping Zhang with the straight lead right and run Zhang into the ground by the 11th- 12th. Ali stops Zhang somewhere between 11-14.

Hey, I'm not criticizing your post, but Hrgovic was rated top 10 by The Ring as well.

Yeah but boxing is a sport and not dragonball z, you guys confuse Legacy/cultural significance/ cult status or however you want to call it with rationality. People compete at a similar level just like in any other sport. So it doesnt really matter that Zhang only beat 1 top 10 opponent, maybe in terms of legacy and importance for the sport in general that might be an important note, but for clear, rational 1 on 1 comparision it is absolutely sufficent.
A guy who got floored by a men like Henry cooper to the point that his trainer had to massively cheat, is not going to eat a zhang left hand or a klitschko left hook, it defies any rational logic. It would imply that cooper could still Ko top HW today which is ridiculous given his horrible record, it would mean that the sport hasnt developed at all, which would put boxing probably as the only exception in the entire last 60 years.
