Quite some number of years prior. The witch-hunt was not yet in full swing in 2009. For the record, I would agree, O'Connor's score for Fury-McDermott I was another lousy one. I don't attribute that one to incompetence, either.
I like hughie, always wanted him to do well, the lad has a good boxing brain and knows what he's doing in there , knows his way around the ring well, has good stamina, a good chin etc etc... his biggest downfall is him never developing any spite, sadly.
He has a solid resume for his age. Much better than his peers. He has potential but lacks a mean streak like his cousin. That's probably the difference in his losing close decisions such as Parker, Pulev, Povetkin. Not sure if he develops more but he is still young, has a lot of experience and is little battle worn.
