I've been back boxing after a long layoff. I'm extremely tense, static and always thinking before throwing.

Can't seem to shake it. I most probably will in due time but my back is aching and I'm sick of it. Anyone else ever had this?

If it’s dull pain, as @ecto55 said stretching before and after workouts during cool down is the first order of business. A LOT of core stretching.

If it’s a sharp, stabbing type pain then it’s time to see a doctor.

    See a chiropractor.

I had the same and he showed me stretches that fixed it within a couple of days. Now preventative stretching keeps it at bay.

Long lay off you need to ease back in, include a lot of stretching. Possibly get a pro opinion if it feels serious Apprehension will go when you become more comfortable with the training
