Do you know of any MMA fighters that use this punch? It`s a very effective punch used in boxing by fighters like F.Mayweather, wasn`t Nate Diaz dropped by a jab to the lead leg? Should this punch be used in more MMA fights?

It should be used more, but it carries it's own set of risks. Not only can it be counter with a straight cross when the fighter is exiting from the strike, but it can also be easily countered with an intercepting with a rear knee if you can time it right as the opponent lowers his head. Watch this video of Jose Aldo knocking out Rolando Perez for an example. Furthermore, mma fighters tend to fight in kickboxing range more often than in boxing range and as such, teeps and front kicks often take the place of jabs in terms of establishing distance, setting up additional attacks, and slowly taking the sails out of your opponent's body. Of course that doesn't mean that jabs to the body are worthless, but they're never going to have as much application in mma as they do in boxing. Dos Santos used jabs to the body pretty well earlier in his career, though, if you're looking for a fighter who did have success with it.

I should also mention Georges St-Pierre as someone who used the jab to the body very well, though he used it sparingly. He would sometimes raise his lead hand to get his opponents anticipating a jab and throwing a counter jab. However, instead of jabbing to the head, Georges would lower his level and drop a jab to his opponent's body while at the same time moving his head offline to his right to slip his opponent's counter jab; he used this against Penn and Bisping effectively. He would also use the standard pump fake to fake the lead jab to the head, then landing a jab to the body before doubling up with a jab to the head. This video comes into depth about Georges' jabbing arsenal and how it facilitated his takedown set ups as well.
