He’s been doing both professional and amateur boxing simultaneously along with several other Uzbeks like Madrimov. He’s currently in St. Petersburg. He participated in and won the Asian Championships in thailand about a month ago. What I meant was I’m looking forward to him focusing solely on his pro career, because I think he’ll have to finish up with the ams before he starts steeping up in opposition. We’ll see about the olympics, but I’m fairly certain he’ll be at the world championships as well. All this, and I’ve noticed he doesn’t smother his attack when he’s got a guy hurt like a lot other bigger prospects without a ton of experience. Seems like most of his one punch knockouts come off his counter right hand, which looks very well timed with almost no Telegraph. Too early say if he’s a massive puncher based on who he’s fought but he’s no featherfist.
Evgeny Romanov against TBA on August 24th. Ilunga Makabu will face Papin on the same card, hard fight for Makabu but fight he can win. Alll depends on Makabu's strategy and Papin's chin, defense.
Hemi Ahio won his latest fight against Kiydin by knockout, Im sure I read on this forum that many people thought Kiydin was really good. I reckon Ahio is the number 2 heavyweight in NZ ahead of jnr Fa
I guess i was wrong about Ahio being weaker than Kiydin. I think he is number 1 in New Zealand judging by how Fa looked in his last fight.
Kiydin in the minute that the fight lasted was getting the better of Ahio in the exchanges but the guy has zero chin. Looks far too small for a HW too.
Yeah that and he got caught against the ropes with nowhere to go. Should drop down to CW or maybe even LHW.
