How did your scorecards look before Canelo knocked Plant out?

Canelo was clearly winning the fight but even if he was losing 10-0 the scorecards were null and void by the KO. Don't understand peoples preoccupation with scorecards at time of stoppage.

Plant was throwing those pity pat get away from me punches, he never came close to getting any respect from Canelo.

Plant won 2 rounds at most but was probably the most competitive since GGG.

I had it 7-3 Alvarez. I gave Plant rounds 1, 3 and 9. I could live wth 6-4 or 8-2 Canelo but anything else seems wrong.

6-4 with no clear Plant rounds except the 3rd... Saunders did much better overall, especially at catching body shots.

Canelo really struggled with the Philly shell, looking foolish at times, but Plant didn't have the pop to generate any meaningful counters or the savvy to escape Canelo's traps with his much vaunted legs... Hopefully the next fight is a completely different style in Benavidez.

8-2 Plant, I counted pitty-pat punches too, Plant threw lots of them. Canelo threw power shots mostly, but less in quantity. That's why Plant was ahead in my opinion.

I only jumped on at start of rounds 6, so missed 1-5

Out of what I saw I only had Plant winning round 8, with 9 and 10 somewhate close, but score for Canelo based on power shots and effective aggression.

Certainly from where I saw, Plant was maybe scoring the odd shot with the jab here and there, but he hardly used his right very much at all, and his volume / output was low, except in the 8th when he rallied well and did some good work.

I'd need to see rounds 1-5 before giving an overall score, but what I did see reminded me of BJS - a sense of Canelo being in control and just looking for the big shot that would be the catalysts for the end.

I give credit to Plant, he took some bigs shots well before the uppercut in the 11th took his legs away

No, how do you score fights? I count shots landed, power shots or not.

    7-3 or 8-2 Canelo are fine - 6-4 is a stretch, but it's acceptable.

Let's not pretend otherwise, this was never in doubt in there

So if fighter A outlands fighter B 15 to 11, but 2 of fighter B's shots make fighter A's legs wobble, you're going to score that round fighter A?

You will score that round to fighter A even if all of his 15 punches landed were average intensity jabs, while fighter B's shots were all better than average intensity hooks and power straight rights???
