Maldonado is just a quick fill in to throw in on the card. You guys are over thinking it. He was there to get rounds in but he was not really that good , he's a D level fighter but crafty coming off losses so not sure what anyone expected considering he was once a level below Usyk at CW still green ?
Mike himself retweeted that video. Which was originally posted on here, so I guess that he pretty much confirmed it.
There is a chance they could face off soon, in case they do, let's place a bet. I say Dillian WOOPS Hunter right now.
If Whyte isn't made Wilder mandatory and Fury backs out of the Eliminator against Whyte then Hunter vs Whyte would be a great fight with a good clash of styles. I rate both guys very highly.
Hunter claims he gave Fury a beating in an amateur fight however he was robbed by "homer judges". Fury says he deservedly won the fight. I haven't seen it.
Usyk was very very close to stopping Hunter at Cruiser late on. I think the fight mimics the Cruiser fight at Heavy imo, I be honest, I do think Usyk has improved more out the two since their first meeting. Hunter is an excellent fighter though
He was competitive, but I think it was the class of Usyk that took a toll on him..I don't think Hunter is going to make the waves people think at Heavy, he seems a nice guy so I hope he does though..I think Usyk with his foot work and angles is the one to befuddle the big guys. Both are clearly better than Wilder and Joshua talent wise and Fury to some extent, but its the size that concerns me with both
