How do you see the rivalry shaping up now? Who has the better stable? Who has the brighter future?

Hearn has spread himself too thin.....Sky will bin him and his Mrs will then leave him and his Bentley will be taken away and he will live behind the bins at B&M

It’s such a tough call. The best prospects in the country IMO are

    Buatsi, Dubois and Cordina.

Said it before, say it again.

The rise of MR boxing has been in direct conjunction to the 2012 Oly's and it's respective impact. Now it's becoming a distant memory, you can sense the energy slipping out of it. Warren, for all his faults, has harnessed mutual contacts and networks built up over decades in boxing that Eddie can only dream of and that is now becoming very apparent.

All the Sky gloss and social media shilling in the world can't make up for the ability to be able to call up Arum, Finkel and Haymon and do deals, which Warren clearly can.

Eddie was in the right place at the right time and was making enough money that he thought he could get away with literally insulting and disrespecting very powerful people in boxing indeed. That is now coming back to bite him bigtime.

Lack of investment in the lower level shows will cost Hearn in the long run, I think his Sky deal hampers him as there is no room for him to put his own stamp on things with more content.

he was lucky in that the batch of olympians available when he came around included Joshua. Otherwise reality would have hit him a long time ago.

warren took the last bunch of 2008 olympians and they all never took off enough to become PPV stars. though he got lucky with Amir from the 2004 one

Best thing Hearn could do is to ditch Sky then allow DAZN app to be rolled out in the UK, then he could get a decent production team to cover some of the smaller UK shows and put a bit of cash into the lower levels to find the next prospects who he could build into top fighters.

Spot on. It all comes down to experience and contacts trumping gloss and fanfare at the end of the day. How many Olympic cycles has Warren seen in boxing, 5-7? I always found it astounding that him and Eddie have never actually met in person.

the thing is, matchroom has been built off of shilling hard through the sky tv network (especially sky sports news).

if he voluntary loses that then he'll lose a good chunk of the casuals.

Look at what Dana White has done with the UFC and his fight pass app, I hate to say it but he is 100 miles ahead of fast Eddie on all levels on promoting and growing his sport. He has gone global and is reaping the benefits.
