Will Wilder beat Fury in a rematch and will that make him the best heavy? Did Fury`s performance v Wilder prove he`s the best of the big men or is AJ the best?
The winner of AJ v Fury will decide once and for all this question. As it currently stands, given Belts, Resume, etc, then AJ is still top of the pile but Fury has certainly, with just one fight, closed the gap. Wilder imo is just one defeat away from oblivion and exclusion from the top table. He would be joining the likes of Miller, Parker, Ortiz, Whyte in scrambling for crumbs off that top table shared by both AJ and Fury. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'll be proved wrong or just maybe I am bang on.
Fury for me. But I think there are very legit arguments for both Fury and AJ. Less legit arguments for Wilder. It will only be fully proven after they have all met, maybe repeatedly.
Anthony Joshua, hands down. Then Whyte, Fury, Wilder and Miller all in the heavyweight pool of potential challengers to him.
It was Joshua before the number 2 and number 7 Ring magazine fighters fought and it remained Joshua after they drew. I would however place the number 7 then in the number 2 slot now based on his performance as well as his win 3 years ago.
Based on resume it would be Fury. (Wlad, Wilder) Based on my eyes it’s Joshua. Wilder is behind both of them and if he beats Fury in a rematch he does not get placed over Joshua. Right now I think the best heavyweight mantle is vacant - we need Fury vs Joshua to decide who it is. They both have a claim
Based on resume and everything else, what they have achieved, AJ is. Based on ability and actual boxing, Fury is. Fury would come out top of the pile in a triangle of fights/rematches in my opinion
Most considered Wilder number 2 , now that consensus is he lost he's now at 3. Neither Wilder or Fury ranks over the unified champion Joshua no matter who they fight.
During that scramle Wilder will knock Parker and co. out depending on what age he beats them and if he`s young enough after that to compete again wit Fury and AJ.
