He is the head of boxing on SKY, why does he feel the need to be involved in commentary when he is hopeless? his bias towards Persoon was nothing short of embarrassing because he spent time with her in fight camp , several times Taylor was landing punches he was too busy telling us what a engaging personality and how good around fight camp Persoon was. Povektin was landing body punches to Whyte , not once did he mention any of them ! obviously the guy loves boxing but doesn’t mean he should be lead commentary and who gives a toss what Andy Clarke score card is , get a boxer to give you his score card or a coach not some wee dweeb with a microphone

Ian put in some brilliant commentary Friday night on the Europa league final. Growling Adam is not a good commentator...does not call the action in front of him...and spends most of the fight talking about the prefight and relying on cliches.
I'm surprised they haven't got a "stadium/ring" sound option yet. The sky team is pretty much match room fc now. Hard to listen too (Smith and Bellew especially) . Back in the day the sky team weren't owned by a promotion outfit. That's why naz's bruck dem up rant was such a breath of fresh air. Steven French would have fit in nicely with Jonas and Bellew.
He ruins every fight. He is horrendous and I cannot listen to his pre-rehearsed stuff. How is the head of boxing for Sky also the commentator? It's like Barry Hearn becoming the main commentator on the darts or the snooker. Weird and creepy, just like Smith is.

Him and Macklin are awful. Used to like Macklin but now he’s towing the company line and just full of crap. Much prefer Barker and Chris Lloyd on the Dazn stream
You think Sky would know how awful he is. I mean he is unbelievably terrible and must put off potential subscribers. They've got the bucks to get in decent commentators. Don't get it.
Barker's commentary on the KO was fantastic. Smith was meanwhile too busy waffling on about some nonsense and basically missed it.
Well to be honest, thanks to Adam I realised that Bellew's "bomber " nickname is in fact reference to his punch power and thankfully nothing whatsoever to do with the Manchester Arena bombings. Was really thankful that he cleared that up for us and to find out that Bellew is in fact no a Jihadi.
