Ronnie Heffron and Michael Maguire. These two were massive names coming up on the amateur circuit back in the day and I was sure they’d be champions as professionals
Maguire didn't live the life from what I heard. Superb amateur with big bags of talent and turned pro with a lot of expectation - sure it was Hayemaker he siged with when he turned over? I'm sure he got dropped with a body shot and beaten by fa nobody and it was basically curtains after that.
He looked a really classy fighter, I remember watching him take Ryan Aston completely apart and thought he would go on to make a lot of noise. Just checked boxrec and can see he hasn't boxed since the Aston win!!! Shame - had a lot of talent.
Prince Arron Lost the British title in a split to Brian Rose, had a few fights after before challenging for the European title - never to be seen again??
Yeah he really impressed in the Aston fight. Then he was lined up to fight Liam Williams, which was a fight I was really excited about, but then he got hit by a brick and ruined his career and my Saturday night. A real shame.
Yuri romanov.. Looked great twatting Jon thaxton for European lightweight title ... Never saw him again Also used to really like cello renda... Limited but was in exciting fights... Guy could bang
Sure I remember reading an article about him having a mental breakdown or something... Serious problems...
