Looks like it’s happening. I thought at middle Billy had a small chance, at Super Middle he’s looked somewhat cumbersome. I’d be backing Canelo to take him out in the later rounds.

Yeah because Canelo only fights people signed to Eddie Hearn. No other promoter gets a look in.

Billy to lose a controversial decision. He's still capable at 168. I know Isufi was poor but I read a few days ago that he landed the least amount of punches on Billy ever recorded in a 12 round world title fight. I Iaugh when people say that was a poor performance by Billy. Just like people say Fury's performance v Schwarz was poor. These people clearly haven't watched those fights.

As much as I like Billy Joe I cant see him beating Alvarez. Alvarez is boxing to the bone, 24/7 dedicates his life to the sport where as Billy is 100% in camp but between fights he tends to let himself go a bit. Alvarez will have all the advantages pretty much come fight night. Hes bigger, stronger, faster and moves well. Maybe Billy Joe is better with angles but thats debatable.

Billy has left Dominic Ingle who he hasnt been with for long at all and gone back to Ben Davison. Now I do like Ben, I dont know whats happened between himself and Fury, the whole 'doing whats best for our careers' line seems suspicious. However he did offer a lot of good advice to Fury between the rounds and got him in fantastic shape compared to what he was so he definitely motivates his fighters. Is he experienced and knowledgeable enough to guide Billy Joe past Canelo I just cant see it.

Are you sure he left Ingle again? He was reunited with Ingle for his last fight.

I do get the feeling, like other fighters out there that Billy fights whats in front of him. You put a solid operator like Lemieux in front of him he performs a lot better than with the likes of Isufi in front of him. I think, he believes hes above those types of fighter so doesnt put much into them, also the whole splitting with Ingle thing tells us he wasnt happy in that gym. I just dont think, even on his best night he has enough to beat Canelo which is nothing to be ashamed of. I fancy him in the GGG fight though and would really like to see that.

Write BJS off ar your peril if these two were to fight.

BJS is a lazy git, unmotivated and not a very likeable guy. However he has some amazing natural skill when it comes to boxing. Genuinely one of the most naturally talented fighters I have seen from these shores.

BJS biggest ally when it comes to the sport is fear. If he fears the guy he is getting in with you will see the best of him IMO. You can be sure if the fight is made with Canelo then it will be the very best (barring any injuries or setbacks in camp) BJS that has been in a ring. And when someone as naturally talented gets into the rythmn of a fight and is able to dictate the pace then IMO with his style is capable of beating ANYONE.

Hopefully the fight gets made and we can see what the best BJS is capable of.

Apparently so yeah, theres usually a lot of videos of them in camp etc on Instagram but nothing. Its a big loss if hes lost him and Brook. Galahad will be lonely!!

Interesting to see post Clen Canelo doesn't look like going anywhere near 160 anymore.

Dom Ingle has confirmed that BJS is back with Ben Davison. I was told that was happening by a friend who knows Isaac Lowe just after Fury moved to Sugar Hill

I think he said he only went with single because Davidson was busy with fury last fight, I would much prefer him to stick with Ingle.
