I think it was based on Valdez tested positive for “WARRIOR” and did an excellent job

Combination of losing to a better fighter and the weight cut.

Anything above 15lbs seems to be a stretch. Seems like it´s really hard to recover from that.
I often think back to how Jorge Solis(for the Gamboa fight) went to eat pizza and drink a ton of coke after the weigh-in. If their recovery plan was that, I can only imagine the stupidity behind the weight cut itself.

Plus Berchelt has been at 130 for like 10 years now. Makes sense that he would have to move up in weight.

My mom had “brain fog”, for 6-8 weeks after recovering. Almost like pre Alzheimer’s or something. The Neurological effects are real...no clue how he was impacted, if at all, but it definitely matters to some people. That said his hands were too slow for Valdez.

Im sure if i spent more then the 10 seconds looking i could have found even more then these couple of top athletes in there field who have either not come back yet or havent been the same since having serious covid such as NFL player Von Miller, UFC fighter Chimaev and juventus soccer player Paulo Dyabla

I just think he's a volume puncher with good power. I would not label him a big puncher by any means.

Nonsense. Berchelt never had any "serious" covid complications. It would hav been well documented and mentioned many times during the telecast.

he got smoked plain and simple.

In fact there isn't not one boxer we know of that was hospitalized or went on record as having "serious" covid.

EsPN would be creaming their panties over such a story line while the pinkos told us to "wear your masks!"

Typical Trump disciple who just makes **** up as you go,bet you were 1 of the clueless followers trying to deny /minimize how bad covid was until the undeniable proof of hundreds of thousands of deaths.
Doubt you read anything i or anybody else said in this thread properly or will read this but i wasnt making any excuses for Berchelt losing at all or that he was seriously ill when he had it,as i didn't know which is why i asked.
If he 1 of those who had a positive test without having actually being sick, he obviously wouldn't have had any of the lingering effects that others HAVE had like those athletes i mentioned as well as some of the other examples people in here have given.
No surprise now that i gave several examples you change your original statement to "there isnt 1 boxer that has been hospitalized or went on record as having serious covid."
Which may or may not be true and i know you're trying your best to politicize it but have no idea why you keep mentioning hospitalization like it is relevant in any way since there isnt room for everybody who does get sick from it other then the elderly ,people who develop serious breathing issues and those with preexisting conditions

I knew this was a political thread in disguise which was the reason for my original response when I saw it.

Yeah dont expect Berchelt to push for the rematch even if he if gets the opportunity after moving up which seems to be the universally agreed view not sure any scenario he beats Valdez or wins another world title but am happy to be proved wrong if he does
