I haven't actually looked at the IBF's rankings to see who's in the frame, but some lesser known South American would be my guess.
JD is about 8th, holds there International Belt, so thought it may make more sense Leeds vs Liverpool than one of the random South Americans. Their ranking are horrible reading tbf
This is 1 - 15 - two top spots are avaliable. Loads of space of people to move up and someone "easy" entered at 15th Vacant TBA Vacant TBA Jhack Tepora (Philippines) - 23-0-0 Sofiane Takoucht (France) - 34-3-1 Tugstsogt Nyambayar (Mongolia) - 11-0-0 Reiya Abe (Japan) - 19-2-0 Kid Galahad (United Kingdom) - 26-1-0 Claudio Marrero (Dominican Republic) - 24-3-0 James Dickens (United Kingdom) - 27-3-0 Michael Conlan (Ireland) - 12-0-0 Carl Frampton (United Kingdom) - 26-2-0 Ranfis Encarnacion (Dominican Republic) - 16-0-0 Andoni Gago (Spain) - 22-3-3 Hiroshige Osawa (Japan) - 34-5-4 Leigh Wood (United Kingdom) - 22-1-0
Nyambayar would be good, but he's probably too dangerous for a 'routine defence' which is what I think they'll be looking for while they wait on a bigger name or a unification.
Something will have to change before Josh gets a unification. Lsc & grjr have both priced themselves out and Valdez is moving up. If Stevenson wins the wbo then maybe he'd go for a unification with Josh.
Also the no1& 2 slot is vacant. I remember him fighting miskirtchin, maybe it was for ebu, it was certainly around that time. Southpaw, not too bad a defence
