Prime Tyson vs Prime Povetkin, who would win? They both have similar styles and sizes. I say Povetkin would win by KO.

Really interesting matchup for sure. Tyson clearly faster with his hands, feet and bodymovement. Povetkin maybe more precise and intelligent?

Don't know, but it would surely end in a KO for one of them. I go with Tyson here.

Tyson by TKO. Povetkin's style is literally designed for Mike to land his massive blows continuously till he eventually finishes Povetkin off. Poor defense is a nightmare against someone like Tyson.

I feel like you have to go Tyson, he was the undisputed heavyweight champion. Povetkin as great as he has been, has never been more than an alphabet title holder. Out of respect, I pick Tyson!

Povetkins bottle, bravery and willingness to have a tear up would be his undoing. Tyson has the edge in speed, power, head movement, foot movement and was excellent at cutting down the ring. I could see Povetkin having his moments and possibly even rocking Tyson to his boots but, eventually, by about the 4th or 5th round, Tysons constant aggression would wear down and stop Povetkin by TKO.

These hit the nail on teh head exactly. Lasts a few rounds, possibly as far as 6, before Povetkin is reeling, hurt and brutally stopped. The Tyson whirlwind will be far too much.

I like Povetkin and am in no way dissing on him, it's just that Tyson has slight advantages over him in every area, would be a cracking fight while it lasted though.

Tyson sends Povetkin's head into orbit. If he fought Joshua's combos were bad, he ain't seen nothing.

Mike Tyson beats all the current heavyweights

Fury could present problems, but the rest would be easy money

We've seen Povetkin struggle before when faced with smaller men with fast hands in Huck and Hunter. Povetkin is used to being the smaller guy with the quicker hands chasing down bigger opponents, his style is made for that but when faced with guys that can come to him and beat him to the punch instead of backing off and allowing him to be the one to come forward he can struggle.

Tyson didn't have this issue because he was always the faster guy and that would be true vs Povetkin to, he'd be the one beating Povetkin to the punch.

Tyson also if beaten to the punch had superior head and upper body movement so still wasn't easy to hit when opponents got off first. Tyson's also tended to get lower than Povetkin, Povetkin dips more from the waist while peak Tyson would use his legs more to get low, so in a fight against too guys that like the fight small, I see Tyson getting lower and under Povetkin's shots and being the one to boss the exchanges at mid to close range as he'd be the one more able to fight his kind of fight.

So I'd have to have Tyson favourite to beat Povetkin.
