Froch is far more proven. Coming through against Taylor like that, taking so many bombs against Pascal, Dirrell and a fresh Groves and still having his hand raised, and showing he can box (Abraham, Kessler II) with output range and bang/brawl (Bute) albeit against shot or scared opp... he consistently did the business against big social media names and finished on top. As the consensus Froch for me. Smith has been a bit inconsistent against so so opposition. Smith's height means he can be a bit of a 1-2 merchant nothing wrong with that and the jab could cause Carl trouble, but I think Froch has more weapons to hurt Smith with - after Kessler 1 he stopped loading up on one punch and started throwing more combinations and there was a bit more variety in his work, see the Bute fight. He also Had Rob M in his corner and that was always a big plus for him. Mobile fighters caused him trouble but someone standing bolt up right in front of him is dragged into a scrap
