I, too, take seriously the words of someone who threw his shows behind multiple paywalls in order to bolster the falling profits.

It's not dying but the amount of boxers that fight the easiest fights possible is certainly not helping it grow

I know u hate Dana but he was pretty much right on point and while i agree with u in regards about this weekends PPV,UFC has done outstanding considering the last 12 plus months and gained some head way compared to boxing which had horrible 2020

His point is moot though because the UFC isn't really doing much better. They can put on events easier during Covid because they're a monopoly. But it's quantity over quality at this point with them.

UFC hasn't doing been better then boxing last 12 months plus LOL WTF,you kidding right???
Not saying was close to being 1 of the best years but UFC continues to grow and gain huge strides getting main stream attention, especially with lack of other content early in 2020.
Boxing for so many reasons struggled last year and had probably it's worst year in my lifetime and not just because of covid but most notably due to continued lack of quality content.
There is so much conjecture and doubt about who the best is in each division due to having to many belts of course but it's mainly due to most of the top dogs setting the precedent for rest of the sport by taking easy money fights while avoiding fighting each other, which also leaves us with all these mismatches when we do get the content

TL/DR boxing isn't dying. Dana is projecting.

There is nothing like the feel of a big boxing event but they seem all to far in between and while it will obv never die it sure as hell feels like it is sometimes with the continued incompotence and amateurish behavior on so many levels by those in charge, who only care about there own interests and don't give a **** what are they are doing to the sport overall.
UFC is still long way behind and will likely never catch up to boxing, which has a far longer history but UFC has done amazing well to get the sport where it is the last 20 years including increased fighters pay, even tho clearly still not what it should be.
People like to talk up what boxers get paid but it's super top heavy with a tiny percentage of the overall fighters that are making that huge money, with the lower end fighters not making that much more then the lower end ufc guys
