I recall that Sonny Liston appeared in an episode of Love American Style just right before his death, it was a weekly comedy that was broadcast on ABC. Floyd Patterson appeared on an episode of The Wild Wild West, which starred Robert Conrad and Ross Martin, broadcast by CBS. Ingo appeared with Carol Burnett, they sang a duet together after Ingo had just won the title, it can be seen on You Tube.

Matching the flood of Ingo threads lately, I found this TV show (What's My Line?). Interestingly, the show was a day before his title defense against Floyd Patterson. Not sure if he was highly focused on this fight...

And as a singer but with Dinah Shore here.
Well, the lyrics just sound like Smørrebrød to me but he has a good voice and the melody is nice...

    And the more cheerful song.

I wonder in both appearances if Ingo landed his vaunted Bingo on any one of his co stars? Lol.

Gerry Cooney appeared on an episode of the 1980s drama, Spenser For Hire starring Robert Urich. I believe he played a leg breaker of some kind.

Hey Fogger, Did Cooney abuse an elderly or unranked man on Spencer For Hire? He probably broke a Geritol laden individual's leg. Lol.

Very cool thread….and Ingemar, the GOAT, just keeps giving, doesn’t he?

He should’ve been Sweden’s entrant in Eurovision - he would’ve been a lock to win.

    Jaja Ding Dong!!

Not sure if this counts.. Lou Costello from 'Abbott and Costello' interviewed Max Baer and Joe Louis once.

I read an interview with Robert Urich, talking about a scene near the end when Spenser has to brawl with Cooney’s character - IIRC, Spenser actually breaks his hand and loses the fight. Urich said even though they were going very light for the cameras, all he kept hitting were Cooney arms and elbows and was bruised for a week

Cooney was a pretty solid guy. Great story.

The cameras loved Jerry Quarry. I remember him on I dream of Jeannie, Batman, The Magician and the six million dollar man.

As a child I remember watching a TV program, "Masquerade Party" in which a celebrity appears disguised in costume, and the panelists had to try to figure out who it is. The costume itself was usually a clue to the person's identity. One man appeared on a horse, wearing a loincloth - kind of a cross between Tarzan and Lady Godiva. The lack of clothing implied 'bare', and the celebrity was former heavy champ Max Baer.
