Watch his interview with McGuigan. Bodell was deluded and had a major chip on his shoulder.

Plenty of reason to disrespect him.

I've seen it David. Jack was always a bit defensive in interviews, largely because he felt he didn't get the credit he deserved during his career. I think he had a fair point.

Fowler "I'll knock the kid out in 5 Rounds" only to get put on his own arse in the 10th on the way to a points loss.

    Fitz was 5/1, too!

    Guffaw.

That the golden boys from London received preferential treatment... like the Hungarian born, Cambridgeshire based Joe Bugner...?

That fighters from the Midlands had to struggle and work extra hard to get recognition... Fighters from the Midlands like Randolph Turpin who was Middleweight Champion of the World at 23...?

That McAlinden wasn't fit to tie his boots even though McAlinden flattened him in 2 rounds?

None of those are fair points.

Think Amirs loss is in there.
Honeyghans loss to Vaca the first time.
    Laing getting clocked by Smith.
    Naz toying with Robinson.

Khan vs Prescott is my personal pick
But mainstream wise AJ vs Ruiz

Not one casual gave Ruiz a chance and that was based purely on his look

Its the equivalent of a fat kid in school kicking the crap out of the most popular kid
Imagine the embarrassment the next school day x1000
Thats how AJ must have felt

Khan V Prescott, & it's not even close. Joshua v Ruiz 1 deserves honourable mention.

Struggling to top these two. Neither were expected to lose but the fact Prescott was supposed to be a bum tops it for me. Ruiz was supposed to be a gimme as well but at least he was towards the top of the division and it’s heavyweight where these things can happen.

Eggington was a typical Matchroom 1/200 job against that African fella he let tee off on his chin thinking he could take any shot off any man. Following the stoppage the African jumped on the ropes shouting he wanted a go at Brook haha.

That was brilliant. Nothing against eggington but love an underdog story like that.

Degale getting a beat down from a blown up middleweight in Truax sticks in my mind.

    Hatton/Manny.

He got brutally starched, fell into depression, and hasn’t been the same since.

Even Hatton in his farewell fight.

Pretty ironic that he got stopped with a body shot! And the guy was Euro-Level at best.

Khan should have his farewell fight vs Prescott. Easy sell to the ppv mugs as the loss was so bad

Going back a bit, but Billy Wells’ two losses to Georges Carpentier were not exactly a high point.

When you’re a square-jawed 6’3’’ artillery vet carrying the hopes of a nation, getting flattened twice in double quick time by a skinny French teenager was probably a tad humiliating.
