Alvarez taking a look, getting used to the angles, trying to figure out a plan, he's looking calculated and concentrated

Don’t get too excited. Canelo not throwing on purpose.

Sergey is doing a good job so far, but he shouldn't try to outpoint Canelo, he has to look for the KO in the later rounds.

1st round for Kovalev. Both fightets mostly feeling each other out, not many meaningful shots landed. Kovalev definitely landed the better shots in that one.

    Round 1

Strong jab from Kovalev. Álvarez is catching jabs and rights on his forearms, hunched forward, shelling up. A few quick upward flurries by Canelo from a low crouch in front of Kovalev. Easygoing pace in the final minute, Kovalev just circling and jabbing. Álvarez is collecting the patter of light probing shots that Kovalev is dropping in on him against his tent flaps, and then shooting out counter hooks rapidly as Kovalev is withdrawing. Mostly they miss, one lands after the ten second warning clap, but not hard.

    10-9 Kovalev, close

I don’t know how you could score that round for Kovalev considering I don’t believe he landed a punch.

I am calling it now. Canelo is going to conserve his energy for the latter rounds and go for the KO.

I'll giggle my ass off once we see the actual scorecards and if they gave 1 to Canelo
