Boxings basically been at a stalemate in this country for a number of years. The dynamics of our society have changed since the middle 1900's.

I could go on but a bit busy at work.

 

yes it is dying.

boxing in australia at present is at its lowest ebb. people forget what it once was here. 100 years ago we were one of the worlds boxing hubs. we had thousands of registered fighters, and fans would pack stadiums in every capital weekly.

its a sad shadow today.

 

if u want bigger crowds take some decent cards to regional/country cities city people have to much to choose from country people are straved of sporting events as country boy we all lv a good fight & wld turn up in droves wld easily get a 1 to 2 thousand people 4 a australian title or regional belt fight with a decent card

I did see it, good result from Broner. I had Willie winning the fight until the kd's, thats the way it goes.

 

bull****. today we have a number of legit champs and world ranked contenders and were only a few years removed from the biggest boxing match in the history of the sport in this country.
boxing is a hundred times healthier today than it was in the horror years of the early to mid 90's. back then it truly was on life support and if not for fenech and tszyu would have been pretty much cactus
