At home I am a nice guy: but I don't want the world to know. Humble people, I've found, don't get very far. - Muhammad Ali Extra! Extra! The majority of the world glorifies a fake man, skillet must read all about it.
Yeah yeah.... i know the points you guys are making.... Not my rolemodel, not a fighter i look up to. Not a fighter that SHOULD be looked up to. Yes, it attracts attention. Drama attracts attention. It pulls in the casual fans cuz it piques their curiosity. And they're the ones who pay enmasse. For an established fan, antics are just rather annoying and takes away the truth. I think there is greatness found in character. The PITIFUL thing is, that the *****s are the ones who propagate the WANT of fakery and acting, over character. And that's sad. I'd rather promote character over melodrama. At least you have respect. At least you have integrity. And at least you're a true man, and not a *****-ass sellout for money....
Obviously you dont. Boxing has relied on its characters dating back to Jack Johnson with its golden grill, white women, and defiance of established society. Ali characterized himself after a professional wrestler. SRL and Oscar actively tried to paint themselves as America's golden boys, despite having more then a few skeletons in their closet. You think Frazier and Ali would have been half the legend it became if they just fought and there was no outside drama. Clearly you are a ******* who is taking an opposite stance because its Floyd. Biased fool. :good
You calling me a ******* cuz i gave you a character ass-whooping? I know you're doing this to try to discredit me in this thread. How about i flip this on you though? How about another thread you made w/ recent postings with both of us? NOW, who's ****ing discredited? STFU, you're agenda and extremism is obvious - all your Thread starts are only about Mayweather, you ****ing *****..... Anyone else needs to validate can check my post history pertaining to Mayweather's ability and skills.... Back to the original comment.... I understand that the golden era boxers where praised back in the day...... Welcome to the 21st century where we hold people to a higher standard, where we expect transparency, truth, justice, and accountability for our actions. What was "praised and allowed" is not the same in the 21st century....
Folks, this is why boxing is in the shitter. Mayweather draws 1.5 PPV buys per fight. Creates 24/7. Lobbies HBO with idea after idea. And some jackoff on the internet claims nobody respects him. He has an emmy. But nobody respectsd him LOL!.
this is the sad thing about *****s. They think money buys everything, including respect. Watch ANY interview on ESPN and you can see he doesnt have the respect of anyone lol... So in your rational, i should have respect for him because he makes the most money? lol Or just maybe, earning money and earning respect isnt really related. Obviously, his cash earnings earn the respect of the *****s lawlz! Nice to know those *****-asses can be bought out like whores
damn right. no amount of money can buy you respect. also, large ppv numbers don't count for anything for the fans if they think they did not their money or time's worth. it's one thing to hype up a fight, and one thing to deliver.
