If Mathews can take it into the 2nd half then he can win this, Rees has struggled with stamina at Lightweight. Matthews is better than Watson and he gave Rees hell.

But on boxrec Derry said himself vs Jennings was on & that there was no way out.. if he's fighting Rees then did Jennings get out? How.. there was "no way"?? nut:nut
In all honesty you dont need to have all that much pop to get rid of Derry but its crucial how he starts the fight. If he pressures Derry early on and is able to bully him a bit he could break Matthews down. If Derry fights with fast hands quick combination punching that can keep Rees off and then takes it to the later rounds and starts to pile it on I think Derry has an excellent chance of winning.
Derry's a very good boxer, when he's on form he's a top operator and certainly Euro level, he's got his revenge wins over Choi and lawton, he's had good wins over John Simpson and Stephen Foster, he looks stronger at this weight, I think he can do well.
