To me, Haye's mouth is responsible for how big this fight has become. Either you believe him and think he'll win, or you want to see him get clobbered. That's the kind of hype fights need to be very successful. I don't think he will win the fight based my own opinions as a boxing fan and the skills and experience of the two, but it makes the fight much more interesting. The better HW fight coming up will most likely be VK vs Adamek, but it won't have nearly the buzz due to the two fighters having nothing to say to get the buzz buzzing.
I'd rather he didn't say anything and we could have another anonymous heavyweight title fight......! Haye will've made more money defending against Audley than Chagaev did fighting both Wlad and Valuev. Fair enough he may not be very popular but I bet everytime he looks at his bank account it eases the pain. I say fair play to him, its not all about money, but they were both WBA champions at the time, one just maximised his revenue. Boxers are in it for themselves, he is entertaining and maximising his earning potential.
Pointless discussion. If Haye had kept his mouth shut this fight wouldn't be happening. If Haye had kept his mouth shut, this fight would NOT be this big. If Haye had kept his mouth shut, the fight would of not got so many people involved.
makes absolutely no difference klit always trains hard regardless of how angry he is he's still gonna come out and grab and jab it will actually benefit haye if klit fights angry but he wont!!
Naw, had Haye not been vocal, then their would have been two deaf, dumb mutes on stage. Not exactly a prescription for excitement.
We're not talking about a ferocious fighter here, its not Iron Mike or The Dark Destroyer; its WLAD... the stiff, safety first-jabbing machine. If it has any bearing on the fight whatsoever it'll be to Haye's advantage, making Wlad more reckless.
I hear it Haye had to hype the fight to make money, I thought the aim was to win first. I think Haye would have had a better chance of winning if he had kept his mouth shut of course his fists will do the talking, sorry did I get that right because his mouth is do a hell of a lot more than Wlad at the moment.
indeed, as i just said elsewhere, hes gonna look like an idiot if he doesnt win by explosive KO. for the guy who PROMISED to inject excitement into the boring h'weight division he now has to deliver (as so far he hasn't; i'd hardly call the valuev, ruiz or *s******* harrison fights 'exciting').
^This. If Haye weren't a **** talker, I guarantee that this fight wouldn't be broadcasted in the U.S. The Klit fans should stop feigning outrage. Haye's big mouth has given Wlad extra motivation in this fight and a bigger stage.
Haye has to make Klitschko come after him if he is going to have a chance of catching him. However, he may have woken the sleeping giant.
