sturm landed a few, i.e. a few, good shots the entire fight and that was it. macklin pounded sturm all over the ring. how he lost is a mystery....well not really.

you should see some of the **** that goes down here in mexico.

i had marquadt tommorow at even money against story. marquadt is not cleared to fight(medical) so now this brenneman guy takes his place.

so now i am forced to have brenneman at even money when he is actually a +300.

and i can almost guarantee the guys that had story at even money against marquadt are now forced to have him at -400 against brenneman.

in vegas, tickets are refunded when a fight is scrapped. both fighters must fight in order to have action.

    not here in mexico.

I can´t believe that so many scored it for Sturm. You can´t deny, that Macklin outlanded Sturm 3 to 1 ( power punches and total punches landed even more). Macklin also worked very well to the body and many people underrate that in scoring. I agree, that Felix had the clearer shots, he´s the technically superior fighter between the 2. But you can´t stand for 3 minutes, your opponent hit you like 20, 30 times clear, you landed a few jabs and a right hand and get the round. And Felix also did block many punches, but for example the body punches landed at will, that was also why he wasn´t so mobile (footwork). And I also don´t understand why people always say "I gave this round to him because of the champ- bonus...", back in the days there wasn´t anything like that, the only advantage there was, was that if it was a draw ,that the champ still had the belt. Now some robberies are explained by being a close fight and giving all the close rounds to the champ, it doesn´t work like that. And Sky, of course they try to sell the fight to the fans that it was close, otherwise many ( the non hardcore boxing fans, which are most) would boycott boxing in the future. It is really sad, I gave Sturm 4 or at the best 5 rounds, and I´m not biased or so. It wasn´t a robbery in the highest order, but we ( I) saw a close, but clear decision win by the Irish.

Lennox should have rematched Vitali Klitschko and given the Boxing public what they wanted to see...

I'm pretty confident that none of the judges belonged to the Third Reich... I'd even go out on a limb and claim that "Germany" was not involved in the decision... I also don't think we should "face it" and assume "they" (Germans) killed 6 million Jews- Hitler's ruthlessly efficient bureaucracy did. Calm down with the outlandish hyperbole and be sensible and informed about the past. Don't blame the present generation for the wrongs of the past.

Absolut right! Nothing else, worse robbery in germany. It is a shame for boxing sport!

Sturm was never a Champion and he will not be.

He is Super Champ? Why, because he does avoid his mandatory, the WBA should have stripped him of the title.

I had it a draw, but to be fair, if Macklin would've been the winner it would've been no suprise for me. He was by far the more active man whereas Sturm landed much better shots. Macklin was more active, but a lot of his punches landed on Sturm's guard. It was a really close fight, but was it a robbery? I don't think so.
