Tyson had good skills not great, he had a very good punch, each time someone backed him up and fought him he got beaten to a pulp, agree?
I'm bored of talking about Tyson. He wasted his talent but people made excuses for him. He lost all his money & people felt sorry for him. He bit Holyfields ears but was still given chances that he squandered. He was extremely exciting in his day, the Spinks fight was his peak which was the last time he beat an elite fighter. It really is time for people to move on from Tyson.
Watch the first Bruno fight when Tyson was going through hell in his personal life, then come back and repeat this bull****. Tyson got backed up and people tried to 'fight' him a lot of times before he eventually lost, and even then the loss had everything to do with Tyson and nothing to do with the opponent. Tyson is mega-underrated if anything.
Tyson had EXCELLENT skills, it was his mentality that was the chink in his armor. His power might be overrated a bit, but electrifying still. He belongs in the ring with any other ATG.
Tyson was immensely talented but he wasted it & people need to get over it. I always hear people saying "if only this & that" but it's done, it's the past. Douglas KO'd him & he was never the same again. The only elite fighter he beat was Spinks. Holmes, of course, was once an elite fighter but not when Mike fought him.
Tyson is overrated by some that treat him like god. He was a good fighter, I rank him 10th or 11th heavyweight of all time.
