    first of im a brit

last night fight between sturm and maclin proved 1 thing to me.....sturm has sat in germany just like abraham and just like calzaghe did in the uk fighting dross challengers...basically not fighting the best out there.

in the case of calzaghe he eventually started fighting the best in lacy and kessler...but at home...that was my problem with joe..he sat on the wbo title for 10 years before deciding to fight any real quality.

sturm like abraham will get found out if he goes to the usa again , yes he should have gotten a decison years ago vs de la hoya but his resume then is terrible.

abraham was found out to be a one dimensional slugger in the super 6 , i have no doubts that both sturm and calzaghe would have been found out too if they went into similar competetions.

in the case of calzaghe who was a very good fighter - we will never know how good he really was because he failed to take the big tests

ricky hatton gets serious heat on here but at least he went to the states to fight the best - HE WANTED TO BE TESTED AND SEE HOW GOOD HE REALLY WAS.

getting beat by manny p and floyd isnt a disgrace...calzaghe just hasnt got a kostya tszyu on his record , neither does abraham or sturm

your parents must be past Darwin award winners. to put Calzaghe in the same sentence as two guys who are obviously not close to his class is...lacking in core mental abilities.

Calzaghe would clown both Sturm and Abraham..

  7. So Sturm needs to go to the US to prove himself against the best in the world, even though he already did years ago, and Joe Calzaghe never proved himself against the best, even though he did, and would be found out in the Super 6 even though he beat Kessler?

Yeah great thread. Well thought out.

I'm not sure the guy is saying that they are of equal abilities (if he is then he's wrong). He's saying they all sat at home for years and didn't test themselves, regardless of ability he's right and it's a great point. Stop giving the dude a hard time.

    ****ing ****.

Sturm fought De La Hoya in the US he won but De La Hoya got the decision. He said he'd never fight there again as there cheating ****ers which is true. Just look at Alexander fight.

Yeah, so does every other fighter. Home time cooking all over the globe. If you're fighting away from home, only a KO win is the viable option.
