really? your knowledge of the american educational system truly is impressive. you're right, we are taught that arroance is good. we are also taught that george w. bush is the greatest politician ever, the only good music is country music, the world is flat, and snow is just "god's dandruff". cause america, much like everything else, is accurately depicted in the media.

yeah, my knowledge of alcohol probably isn't as great as yours. but then again, i don't spend all my time down in pubs getting drunk. it's this whole crazy idea i had where i don't find recreationally destroying my liver to be fun and exciting. i know, it's a revolutionary thought, try not to let it confuse you too much.

i'm guessing that you've never actually "come across" them at all. it's far more likely that you've watched one event on a crappy pub television while hammered and said something along the lines of "ah dunt lawk dhem AH-merican ****s!" and of course, because you don't like them and they are american, their tragic flaw is obviously arrogance. Its funny that your stereotype of european people are just the same as we see you. But honestly, scandinavians still adhere strongly to the jantelaw, whereas it seems that most of the american athletes has the total opposite, and no, I don't follow the olympics drunk in a pub, and I always do have favourite athletes who happens to be americans, but personally, with a strong sense of the scandinavian psyche, it is important to me that a sports person is humble and good natured, and as a swede, that is the thing I look for most in athlestes, and I honestly get the impression that the US have least of them. And that not just bull****, that is something that is actually important to me.

the thing i look for most in athletes is athletic ability, but then again, i also look for competency in other things, so i'm kinda weird like that.

No way is american football more demanding than rugby, its all in short bursts, you dont need any stamina to play American football.

Dont get me wrong, unlike most brits I actually LIKE playing American football, coz you get a chance to get your breath back at the end of each play, but there's no way its harder than rugby. Its probably more violent, and you need more explosive power, but in a rugby game you've got to keep that up for 80 minutes non stop, its insane.
