Yep, people take them a bit too literally. I mean they're a nice indication, nothing more. i.e. last night round 7, Matthyse landed 22 to 2 in round 7 according to Compubox, which looked about right and was an indication of how dominant Matthyse was. Although clearly you didn't actually need numbers to realize this. They're not a substitute for scoring the fight according to the correct criteria.

 

9/10 if a fighter takes 2 of the 3 connect stats he usually wins the fight.

 

Leonard/Hagler for example.

 

The exception in Hopkins/Calzaghe.

 

round by round is how fights are scored, overall statistics can be very misleading

 

well its more then two idiots, and the punches are only registered when a few of them click at the same time, like the amateur system

Even if it were true thats not really a plus point for the system mate.

 

It’s one guy for thrown (which can never be wrong).

And one for landed.

 

Compubox has 2 buttons for the connect guy (jab and non jab).
