How can you say he has a good chin when he's been stopped? By an 11-15 fighter no less.

You think taking Ray Austin's sloth slow weak ass arm punches is a good measuring stick of someone chin?

Everyone knows this is a joke of an opponent for vitali, let's just accept it's someone he has to face to keep his belt, but it is not a good opponent by any criteria.

I hope he retires after Adamek win or lose. Having the two best fighters in the division NOT being able to fight is stupid and boring. Between everything else that is wrong with boxing and all the bull**** titles we dont need a 1A and 1B champs in a division.

I give him credit for eating every slow jab thrown at him by a 41 old. Clearly being as one dimentional as he is and throwing only one punch at a time, is just part of his strategy to lure his opponents in. But honestly if you think hes a good fighter, your as reasonable as his WBC Silver belt.

Exactly..... If he doesnt KO you he doesnt win. If he fights someone with a good chin or a decent defence he loses. And if he fights someone with power I dont think his chin holds up. If below .500 King can stop him I have a hard time believing any of the top fighters in the division wouldnt do the same.

I don't think that Stiverne has as much power as Lamon had in his prime.
And Lamons chin was one of the best in the last 30 years in the HW division.

The way I see the whole situation is that vitali retired as champ. In his place wlad beat byrd to become the world's premiere heavyweight. Upon vitali's return, wlad was still the established number 1 and if vitali wants to challenge that position the onus is on him to call out his brother, which of course he didn't wanna do. So wlad did the next best thing in beating chag and the ring sanctioned it. I back their decision and recognise wlad as the legitimate champ.

Not that I was that impressed with Stiverne, but lets not forget Brewster got out slugged by fooking Clifford Eteinne of all people for Brewster's first lost, only to be easily decisioned by later by the limit Charles Shufford for his second loss.

Maybe Stiverne will come around, I doubt it, but maybe.

Like Tyson and Frazier he needs to mimic their style of bobbing and weaving hectically like if his life depended on it and needs to understand doing that he is being offensive and defensive at the sametime. I felt had he landed powershots downstairs and then to the head he would of slowed down the older bigger fighter.

If he was the smaller fighter why was he jabbing with the taller Austin you dont do that. For having a big punch he showed also he lacks a killer instinct. He should of put Austin away in the first 3 rounds. People want to see a beast or at least someone trying to copy Tyson. Stiverne has a nice left hook, but needs to do what he did in the final round instead in the first. Stiverne needs to learn to avoid and counter jabs. Needs long ways to go.

He has power, but like many power punchers he has a suspect chin. He'll have a solid puncher's chance against all but the top level, but that's it. And, of course, he'll always be one punch away from getting starched himself.

Vitali will chew him up and spit him out. It will go as long as Klitschko wants it to.

He is nothing special and stands infront of you like a punching bag. Oldman austin had the win. He got lucky.

Any top 20 guy will beat him

I give him credit for being a good amatuer and beating a couple of good guys in the pros (he also beat Franklin Lawence) but given his relatively advanced age, he needed to work harder and do more quicker. Much like another Sam Peter, he has given himself no chance. The bottom line is that Vitaly is going to roll him.

Eteinne was good back in the day before his chin turned to ****. And Brewster never got stopped by a fighter with a losing record. And Stiverne will never beat a fighter as good as Wlad or Golota or even Krasnqi.

He's 2 levels below Brewster and will never be close to him.
