Sturm isn't as formidable as he record/status indicates but Macklin is a donkey, his career highlight being a defeat to Jamie Moore at Lightmiddle

Could be wrong but I see a HUGE points win for Sturm (possibly 120 - 108 across the board)

On a more sombre note I pray Danny Williams doesn't come to any harm tonight

Macklin has to treat this as last chance saloon even though it's his first and he ain't that old he's not got much longevity in his career and he has shipped plenty of punishment but i never been wow'd by Sturm and early on if Macklin can settle down and attack with sharp quality he's in with a chance. I can't allow Sturm to establish his jab whether it's P4P class or not he has to stop it cos it's a pretty decent jab and what Sturm works well off.

:patsch Yeah i got to hold my hands up, i dont ussualy get it that wrong, I feel disgusted that Macklin isnt coming home with a belt. Sturm lost by 2 or 3 rounds, the spanish judges will struggle getting out the stadium tonight as there carrying to much gold. 116-112 thats disgusting yeah sturm had the cleaner punches but Macklins were still scoreing punches too, plus the body shots do they not count?

115-114 Sturm. On Macklin's best day and Sturms worst, the Irishman still couldn't beat the champ.
A rematch may be in order but it will never be this close again.

It was a much more exciting fight than I had expected, and Macklin kept up the pressure far better than I thought he would, but I don't agree that Macklin was 'robbed'. I scored it 115-113 to Sturm, and had it even going into the championship rounds. I wouldn't neccesarily disagree with anyone who scored it the reverse though. I gave it to Sturm as he was landing the more accurate punches, and was doing a good job defensively at times - whereas Macklin was landing more shots, and forcing Sturm into his fight for the most part.

I've wanted to see Sturm vs. Martinez for a while, and would still much rather see that fight than Sturm vs. Macklin 2. I don't believe it'll be as close in a rematch.

Overrated doesn't equal **** does it? That's right, it doesn't. So what are you trying to imply exactly?
