Klitschko - Haye: Will it be fixed?

    I hate to be cynical, and I realize Don king has nothing to do with this fight, but that's certainly no guarantee of fairness.

    Imagine this scenario:

    Haye pulls another Valuev performance, but staying even further away. He occasionally makes a few funny faces at Wlad, but mostly just runs around, then lands a couple of fast flurries that basically don't do much.

    Then Haye wins by decision. The fans go bananas, but of course there's nothing anyone can do about it.

    So, the bookies make a fortune.

    Then Haye gets a shot at Vitali, and the promoters & networks make a fortune.

    Sadly, if there were a way to bet on this outcome, that's where I'd put my money.

    Why bother?

    What are Haye's chances of winning the majority of rounds in a 12 round fight, especially when he really gets sluggish in the later rounds?

    If he doesn't KO Wlad he won't win.

    Match's have been fixed before, and anybody that watched Haye vs Valuev and Haye vs Harrison knows thats true.....

    It could happen, but I doubt it, if they were to pull BS that huge the match should be a PPV

    Haye v. Valuev was definitely in the bag:

    First they gave the title to Valuev, specifically so that Haye could then get it and have more "juice" for the Wlad fight.

    IMO Haye did win the fight, just barely, but it wouldn't have mattered. He would have gotten the decision regardless. Also, it sure looked like Valuev wasn't really trying, like someone got to him.

    This is exaclty why I won't be surprised to see a stunningly unfair Haye decision over Wlad. Follow the money.

    (or are you actually going to claim that no high-profile HW fight has ever been fixed before?)

    Why I believe the Valuev fight was fixed is that he never inforced the rematch clause that was in the contract. And that is very, very suspicious.:think

    Sorry but this is just a heap of ****.

    First off - "IMO Haye did win the fight" Therefore the rest is 100% speculative and also %100 irrelevant.

    Second - "Valuev wasn't really trying" more like Haye was just too fast and Valuev to limited.

    Third - "Gave the title to Valuev" Chagaev wasn't making any inroads on defending it and is ridden with Hepatitis.

    Fourth - not relating to your post. But Valuev has not only not enforced a rematch, but he hasn't actually fought anyone since either. Which makes it more reasonable to assume it was either his decision or that he was paid/convinced by his/Hayes team not to enforce a rematch of what was a boring fight, would be difficult to market and one in which he would be very unlikely to win.

    The fight is just as likely to be fixed in favour of Klitschko as it is Haye. Its most likely not going to be "fixed" but the judges are probably going to be more likely to favour the home fighter (as is usually the case anywhere) in close rounds (ie Klitschko).

    A close fight going one way or the other is not fixed, nor is it a robbery. If Haye wants to win he should aim to win clearly on points or score a knockout, which is exactly the same as Klitschko should aim to do. Leaving rounds close is just as risky as losing that round in a career defining fight.

    Boxing has a very crooked past. Haye plans to run like he did against Valoeuv, he will not throw any punches, just run and plans on getting a gift decision like he did against Valoeuv. Remember, Chagaev beat Valouev, Vlad fought Chagaev, WBA took the title away from Chagaev and gave it back to Valouev on paper so they could give it to Haye...............
