That's a good fight. Think Proska might be better off campaigning at 154 though. He's very small for a middleweight.

Well he certianly deserves to be listed among the others. He intrigues me, very unorthodox style. Hopefully he'll stay active and keep fighting better compitition now that he has the EU title so we can see where he's really at. He dominated Navascues in his last fight which was encouraging.

I agree. I watched that fight and he looked pretty impressive. But "special" is certainly an adjective that he doesn't deserve.

Agreed, too bad this will be avoided like the plague on JCC Jr's side.

Yeah Lemieux is the MW who has taken a loss thats stock has dropped the least in my eyes. He didn't show any huge flaws in his Rubio fight aside from being a little over eager at times, not placing his shots a bit better and not going to the body(which he can do) He still won almost every round and his chin looked fine, the shot that dropped him was on the back of his head and unbalanced his equalibrium. After he got up he still ate some flush shots without going down.

I disagree with most and think his corner did him a huge disservice. It was a title elminator, not some random fight. He should have been allowed to finish the round, even if he went down a second time, and been givin inbetween rounds to try and fully recover. The biggest problem imo is Russ Anber has been with Lemieux since he was 12 or 13 yrs old. I know you don't want to see your guy hurt especially a young fighter but it's time to cut the umbilical cord, this is boxing not tennis, you're guy is going to get hit.

Sylvester's part of the IBF tournament, facing off with Sam Soliman and then face the winner of Adama-Karmazin (if Karmazin agrees to fight). I'm picking Adama to win it. Hard head, active hands.

I feel the biggest problem for Lemieux is Ivon Michael the promoter. He got greedy having a star to compete against Interbox's Bute. The Purnell Gates fight was absurd. Throwing a 22 y.o. into a title eliminator without ever fighting another competive fighter for more than a couple rounds is truly ignorant. Abner complained about this a great deal and went against the promoter a number of times. Now Abner may have gained himself more control on the situation?

After this weekend i really want to see Macklin vs Khurtsidze. That would be FOTY. I initially though of Wolak but he's 154 and probably too undersized to compete with a full sized aggressive MW like Macklin.

Fighting someone like Lorenzo or Zbik who are experienced but without much of a punch would be a good comback fight and help gain experience while keeping him in the MW picture or even someone like Ishe although i don't want to see him take a huge step back. I'd i to see Lemieux against another prospect like Jacobs, Lee, Guerrero. They're all good offensively but I doubt any of them could take his punch.

I agree, I have been waiting for this guy to kick on for 2 years, seemed to show some potential but has never really been stepping up at each fight.

He's only been a pro for 2 1/2 years and sat out almost half a year due to his sinus injury....

Martinez vs Chavez Jr could be a money match in 2-3 years if both continue to rack up the wins.
