Not the first time it happened. German fighters just always get the decision. THis time, even the German commentators and fans who voted online felt that Sturm did not do enough. German boxing is just corrupt, it goes back to Ottke and Beyer etc.

What else has a challenger to do to win? He outpunched, outlanded and pressed the issue. I scored it 116-112 for the Irisch fighter. 115-113 is acceptable whereas a draw is not.

It is also not the first time Sturm wins on robbery, I recall a fight against somebody namend Griffith.Sturm himself is an arrogant person who knows he just has to stand up to the 12th to get the decision. And they had the audacity to compare this guy to HAgler/Hearns/leonard/....

    aleksander robbery was much worse.

Also Delahoya Sturn is on one of the worse robberies I've seen.

I scored it fo Maklin to but i don't think i'd call it a robbery.

ANd I feel there was nothing to debate about this fight . It was a robbery.

The Irish fighter was digging in body shots with so much regularity, it really shut Sturm's output nearly completely down. I mean, Sturm has no idea how to block body shots.

So what? It is not the first time Sturm won on robbery. The only thing he has to do is not getting KOD.

It was a robbery, but not the worst of this weekend.
And calling Germany the hometown of robberies after this weekend if grossly misplaced after the 3! major robberies in the US.

    Friday:
    Herrera vs Dallas jr.
    Saturday:
    Alexander vs Matthysse
    Coyne vs McNemar
    :-(

I'm a big macklin fan, but alot of his shots were blocked on the gloves and Sturm was good at stealing rounds and he did land cleaner shots that Macklin

Note alsoe that you get marks in boxing for defence as well as aggression

I have 4 drawn rounds early in the fight which, if I had to pick a winner, would have gone to macklin

But I had Sturm winning by 1 because Macklins shots were blocked by the gloves

Dude, don't bet on fights that take place in Germany

Unless you know a KO/TKO is going to happen

It wasn't a robbery. It was a very close. I won't argue with anyone who had it a couple of rounds for either guy.

I'm German and I had it 118-110 for Macklin. If I stretch, I can give two close rounds to Sturm and he still loses 116-112. How anyone can find eight rounds for him is completely besides me.

Yes, Sturm had a few more "clean punches", but he was outworked 3:1 (gut feeling). Macklin hit a sh!tload of body punches. He was the aggressive fighter throughout. While I won't call anything he did "ring generalship", at least he was always where he wanted to be, while Sturm made the Abraham and just turtled in the face of the onslaught, displaying the perfect opposite of ring generalship. No fighter ever hurt the other or landed anything I would call eye-catching punches.

Besides knocking Sturm out, there's really nothing I think Macklin could have done better.

I had it as a draw to be honest but 116-112 twice to Sturm is bull****. If it was in the states Macklin would've won for being aggressive and pushing the fight
