Has Lucas Matthysse lost 2 fights or been robbed both times?

I believe he won both fights by one to two points each. So you can't really say he was robbed cause he lost on the cards in both fights by close split decision, but I do feel he won both of those fights. Had he been American, or the fights been in a neutral site I'm sure he would have gotten both decisions...

I think its a shame that he now has 2 loses which can really hurt his career. He's a good fighter that puts on a good show, hopefully the networks take notice and give him another chance, he is very deserving...

 

He may not have been particularly decisive in the earlier rounds of the Judah fight,but neither was Judah.Matthysse was always landing with that right lead to the body,and Judah's offense,as already noted,was largely limited to weak,ineffective,pawing jabs.To have Judah winning would mean that you gave Judah seven out of the first ten rounds - which just isn't a reasonable score at all.



Zab Judah and Devon Alexander are two of the most overrated boxers in recent times.

 

Neither fights were robberies, but Matthysee probably wouldn't agree with that. I thought Judah beat Matthysee by a point and I thought Matthysee beat Alexander by a point. He could be 2-0 or 0-2 or anything in between including draws since both fights were close. Its just unfortunate for him that he lost both but I think HBO will have him back. I'd love to see him face Soto or Maidana.

He lost a clear, competive decision to Zab, but I think he won this past weekend. But...both were close. An argument can be made that Lucas is undefeated but fighting in the back yard of your opponents automatically means you need to go out with the understanding that a close fight will go in favor of the hometown fighter. I'm not saying it's right, but it should be understood.

 

He earned victory both times.

I believe that Judah won the fight. Even Mathysse feels better about the Judah decision than this one. In the Judah finght Mathysse was waiting too long to get going in that fight. However, I really felt that Devon was going to get knocked out around the 8th round. The punches from Mathyses were getting in more frequently and so telling and heavy. If it had gone another 2 rounds, Devon would have been on his back. I do, however, give Devon a lot of credit for putting up a much better fight than the one with Bradley. He needs to lose the grunting though.

 

I had judah beating MAthysse by a point, 114-113 I think.

Mathysse could have done more in a lot of rounds against Alexander, I thought he got outworked in one or two of the rounds people say he clearly won.

Most judges score a whole round, not the 3 or 4 seconds in which 1 guy lands a few bombs.

Nope, Judah won the first fight, Lucas waited too late and Judah came back on at the end.

I will say that I do think at the least that the fight with Devon was a draw.

 

Alexander was gifted that fight, more so than Judah in my opinion. Matthysse is, however, 30-0 from my cards, although I can see Judah getting the nod.

 

Robbed badly, I feel awful for him

 

I'd say he was robbed both times. The Judah fight wasn't as big of one but he definitely beat Alexander.
