Anybody with a PBF avatar, is never going to believe anybody is good, besides their bum-boy Floyd. I bet you see PBF and organise an Orgy! :hey

Ironic, considering Floyd has not exactly beaten any greats himself...

He beats them all bar RJJ. RJJ handles him with ease at his peak as he did with every other fighter who got in the ring with him. Toney would no doubt be a tough fight but I think Calzaghes style is all wrong for Toney and Joe would win a close but clear decision.

RJJ at his best whips pretty much anyone ever at the middle to light heavy area.

just watch James toney batter jirov at cruiserweight, and you'll see why JT would have ko'd calzaghe, no problemo.

The obvious flaw in this argument being Jirov is not in the same stratosphere as Joe Calzaghe

Much respect to a poster named JC with Calzaghe in his avatar to acknowledge other fighters. There are way too many delusional nuthuggers on board here. It's refreshing to see a man who is a true fan and staunch supporter of his fighter but at the same time grounded and of sound mind.

The only past SMW's I see beating Calzaghe is RJJ and Toney, and even then it could go either way.

i think robin reid beat joe calzaghe in 1999. calzaghe never gave reid the rematch he was desperate to get

    Try watching it again

Calzaghe still did enough to win, despite ****ing his hands early on

Everyone knows a rematch would have been easy work, a waste of time

the more i watch it the more i think robin reid won. the robin reid of 2000-2002 would have beat calzaghe in a rematch

    Bull****

Most sane viewers had it close but clear for Joe

With 2 good hands it would have been a very comfortable win, that was the main factor in it being as close as it was. Having a damaged hand is something of a disadvantage to a boxer, when your objective is to hit somebody in the face with your hands

have you watched the fight? calzaghe was throwing big shots from both hands right up until the final bell. i never saw any evidence that he hurt his hands, he sed it as an excuss and claimed he would knock out robin reid in a rematch.......which he never gave him??????

    That's because he's a warrior

This is Joe Calzaghe we're talking about, when have you ever seen him run around hiding behind the jab

It's well documented he hurt his hand, it's where it all started and his hands remain brittle to this day. He couldn't land with full power, which let Reid into the fight

Still, good effort from Reid, against a legend

instead of having a big domestic rematch with former wbc champ reid calzaghe opped for fights against will mcintyre, miguel angel jimenez, tocker pudwill, mger mkrtchian..... hell he even tryed to fight brian magee at the kings hall in belfast after robin reid had handed magee his first pro loss
