bull****, thats like saying Holyfield and Ali were blown up Heavys. Spinks was the lineal hw champion. The win is legit.
holy was also a bloated heavy. could have been the greatest cruiser in history. tyson at 215 lbs with 5% body fat was a bonafide heavy, so was buster :yep
Technically maybe. But Tyson could have hit Spinks like my Mam used to hit me as a child, and Spinks would have hit the deck. One of the worst showings ever by a top fighter in a big fight. The man was looking for the canvas more than ****ing Rembrandt.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN9bpOV9beQ&feature=player_detailpage[/ame] Better vid showing the face of a man going to his executioner. R.I.P SPINKS !!!
no it wouldn't. And it worked well too. Hagler and Hearns fought on I think a Monday night. I think then the thinking was the prefight talk was on the weekend building up to Monday. I am not sure about Hearns vs. Leonard one, I think that was on a Wednesday. not sure though. I think Leonard/Hearns 2 was on a Monday. Hearns/Duran I think was on a Friday. This is all my memory, and Hearns/Benitez on Sat.
I feel your pain. My point is that the man had a marvelous career, and it seems all he is remembered for is getting his ass beat by Tyson.
LMAO what a mega-overrated 212lb light-heavyweight Michael Spinks was!! :blurp At Heavy all he did was be teh first man to beat 48-0 World Heavy Champ Old Lawrence Holmes And KO white-hope, superheavy-puncher Gerry Cooney, if only he was as proven as Haye And Adamek are @ Heavyweight LOL! :rofl j/k :hey Foreman Hooooooooooooooooook!:rasta
