Definitely leaning towards Tito based on basic boxer-punching accuracy with that hook, but I could envision a night where the boxer in Cotto comes out to shine against Tito and wins on points fighting the perfect fight in a technical war.
cotto breaks him down with viscious body work, people arent giving cotto enough credit, he was better than vargas and vargas gave a prime tito a war
Tito within 5. It's not going to take that long before Tito lands something big and he was a tremendous finisher. I like Cotto but there's no way he wins this. No ****ing way.
This is a terrible matchup for Cotto. Tito is bigger and uses his size. I would say 2nd or 3rd round knockout.
It wouldn't be staggering, but it would be apparent. Their boxing ability is comparable, maybe a slight edge going to Cotto. Tito has the power and most of the intangibles, he's just more of a force than Miguel. At some point he connects with something real, Cotto goes on the backfoot and tries to box and Tito just chases him down and stops him. Tito, DLH, prime Mosley all just a step above Cotto, Margo, Clottey etc. Different level of fighter. This generation would be competitive but I don't think they would be winning. I don't think Pac beats a prime 147 DLH or Tito, great as he is, because they were great themselves in their day. re Hops and Winky outboxing Tito, they were also considerably bigger men, and that has a lot to do with what happened in those fights.
