I think this man has accepted his role as a super star/role model/ global icon ... He's going to train hard but there's no need to play a role anymore. He's the star ...

I didnt like the way he criticised the media when we are responsible for making him a star. I also didnt like how he says sorry for being late but I had to dress my kids - like all the press, event and pr people dont have kids too.

All small things that tick me off but Im looking forward to him schooling Ortiz.

Global icon ... you see what his response was when he was over there in the UK ... thousands of fans lined up to see him in a small gym. Every young fighters idolizes him and not just american fighters. He's been all around the world representing boxing ... don't think that he's just a local product. Did you hear them say he's generated 500m world wide ... stop it.

 

Klitschko is a bigger star in Europe. I just read Global and assumed you meant there. I dont think many people have heard of PBF outside of America and UK (because of Hatton) and Phillipines ( because of Pacman). Would be interesting if they interviewed people on the street about it

the media made floyd a star? lol...i mean i guess if u want to get technical....he did achieve stardom through the use of the media....but they hardly went out of their way to help him....he basically kicked the door down and forced them to talk about him...for the most part they have tried to discredit him and his achievements.....

him and his team(haymon/ellerbe) did a great job of making this guy a star....the guys style isnt crowd please....he can come off as a jackass....and yet he still one of the two biggest stars in the sport...and recognized by just about anyone....

the media did nothing to help him...he did it on his own accord....and was able to execute the gameplan the moment he bought out his top rank deal....thats when he started to make the leap...no more mr nice guy
