Spinks came from as low as 175 to fight at hvw. Haye is not coming from that low. The most Spinks weighed was 200 at best, and he fought an old Holmes. When he fought Tyson...
Haye knows his advantage against Wlad will be speed. Wlad normally comes in at 243ish, he looks ligghter than that so far because he knows he will also need to be as fast as possible Holyfield could afford to bulk up because getting hit for him wasn't a factor, Haye is trying to avoid that, he doesn't need to come in heavy, it would just be negating his advantage. I expect both fighters to come in low.
True, they always fight in good shape, but Haye doesn't stay in such good shape between fights whereas the Klitschkos always do.
I don't think Holy ever beat Bowe in any of the 3 fights to be honest. Holy stood in front of lennox and turned into a counter puncher because he was faster than lewis. He just couldn't reach lennox. At times he did, and Holy even tried to lure lennox to tbe ropes, but lennox fought smart. Lennox didn't just walk in taking Holy's best. Bowe did.t respect Holy power, but bowe was also done as a fighter way before lennox because he fought dumb his whole career. What Haye has to do is find areas where he can reach Wlad because Wlad will use the stick all night. Haye and his trainers have to find mistakes in Wlads foot work whether its Wlads side to side movement, going back, coming forward etc. Sanders said he noticed that wlad brought his arm back slow after the jab, wlad fell for feints, and if wlad couldn't grab you, he couldn't fight on the inside. Wlads gotten better, but he still can't fight inside. Haye has to slow wlad down early and fast. That is Hayes dilemma.
Yes he did, but Bowe stopped Holy right? Holy couldn't take lennox's punch all night like he did Bowes, so he fought smarter against lennox which kept him upright for 24 rounds against lennox.
I agree, but in these photos I've been seeing he's looks around 210 ish, I hope I'm wrong. Gives me the impression they are relying on his speed, to box. Just not so sure that will hold up when Vlad leans on him. He's gonna tire faster. We shall see soon.
