I cant remember a bigger fight between two Europeans. I was born in 63 and have good knowledge of boxing history and dont remember two Europeans in a bigger contest.

Benn vs. Eubank - Eubank vs. Watson - Lewis vs. Bruno

All Brits, granted, but these fights were MASSIVE! Maybe not bigger than Klitschko vs. Haye but certainly in the same ballpark!

I doubt it will eclipse Lewis vs Vitali fight, especially if Haye gets outclassed - the scenario I'm leaning towards.

    No just no.:patsch

Those Fights were massive at Great Britain but that is just about it.

After Iron mike Career started to go down slide there was some talk about some guy named Evander Holyfield and When Lewis came along the Hw scene did not exists... that's what it was at least in northern Europe.

    Benn- Watsons-Eubanks...:rofl

I started to watch Boxing since late of iron mikes First Hw reign i was not hard core more like casual Boxing fan and I did not even knew about guys like Benn-Watsons-Eubanks...

That wasn't all that big a fight at the time, Lewis was coming off the massively bigger Tyson fight and Vitali was considered a standard defence for him. Wlad/Haye has alot more hype than that fight.

Benn VS. Eubank II was 42,000 arena sell out. Plus however many millions watched on UK TV.

It's only in the last 10 or 15 years have the German boxing shows matched UK boxing - for the amount of home champions in decent shows - and TV viewing figures. The simple facts are UK and Germany are the only two places that have consistently put on decent boxing events in europe. So when a fight is massive in UK, that's about as good as europe is ever gonna get (right now).

I think Haye VS. Klitschko is the biggest event to happen in europe (at the moment). And if Haye wins ... a possible grudge match with Vitali afterwards would be even bigger.

then we have to consider? how big is the venue in Germany and has it sold out? dont know the name of the stadium or its seating capacity but consider you have the attention of most of Britan and Germany, The Russians and Ukranians and the U.S. thats a big cross section of the current boxing loving Nations....they are also Heavyweights. I think Benn v Eubank and lewis vs Bruno pales in comparison it only makes sense, but I could be wrong?

I thought TS meant more like Biggest Fight over all at WHOLE Europe..
The Boxing was pretty big at UK at that time already when Benn, Eubanks,Watsons were fighting. And those Fights were huge at UK and had alot of viewers but those still were big... like in domestic level.

How ever I am absolute sure this Fight will sell more seats and there will be also more viewers at whole Europe. It will get more Media attention etc. If we look at this subject as bigger picture.

Yep, and it's all due to Haye and his excitement.

    May as well bill this one as;

The Loose Lips Hayes Vs Vlad The Robot

    Simply Yes!

Its huge here in Europe, not like in the US.
Only because there is no American.
